In the second quarter of 2025, the top social networking applications in Latin America, as tracked by Sensor Tower, showcased varied performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active users.

Threads from Instagram, Inc. maintained a robust presence with weekly downloads fluctuating around 1.1M to 1.3M. However, active users slightly dipped from approximately 69.8M to 67.7M over the quarter.

Telegram Messenger experienced a steady increase in weekly revenue, peaking at nearly $197K by the end of June. Downloads remained strong, averaging around 1.1M to 1.2M weekly, while active users showed a gradual decline from 115.4M to 111.2M.

Facebook recorded a consistent rise in downloads, reaching over 2M in late May. Revenue also climbed steadily, culminating at around $164K in the final week of June. Active users remained fairly stable, hovering around 280M.

Google Meet saw weekly downloads ranging between 144K and 205K, with active users peaking at 22.3M mid-quarter before settling at 20.5M by the end of June.

WhatsApp Messenger continued its dominance with downloads peaking at 1.9M in early June. Active users remained impressively high, averaging around 456M throughout the quarter.
